I think bowing at the cross is like kneeling at the altar. It's a place of remembering in our hearts what was done. What was nailed on the cross. Sin. Sickness. the Curse. My death.
I think of it as the altars in the old testament. When something big and important would happen and they would build an altar. A place to remember and remind themselves of what God had done.
