It has been about 150 degrees everyday here in balmy Texas. It is very difficult to have happy fun when 85 degrees seems like sweet relief. We tried to fry an egg on the pavement, but it exploded on contact with the cement. Its hot.
So we did what the courageous do when it gets super hot. Do you think that we just hung out all day in the air conditioned coolness of the indoors. NO WE DID NOT! We went hunting for the only thing that can help in this dire situation - - - a Slip-and-Slide! Unfortunately, stupid Walmart is not helpful to sweaty Texas people. They run out of the most imporant heat defeating item of all time. You would think they would plan a little better.
So we improvised. A few plastic tarps, a sprinkler, a few spikes to hold the whole thing down...and we were GOOD TO GO, BABY! My boys are gifted at slip-and-sliding. Here is proof:
